Selection

Short, practical help designed for lookup: follow the procedure, then compare the result in your score.

Precise selection drives copy, paste, repeat, slurs, and measure operations. Measure bands and note clicks use different shortcut lanes.

Notes and rests

Procedure
  1. Click a note head or rest to make it the active selection.
  2. Shift+click another note or rest on the same staff to select a range in score order.
  3. ⌘/Ctrl+click to add or remove individual notes or rests from the multi-selection.
  4. For a range across multiple parts, anchor on one staff then Shift+click on another — everything in the beat window is included.
Result
Highlighted elements define what copy, repeat, and slur commands use.

Measures (bar bands)

Procedure
  1. Click the measure number band to select one measure.
  2. ⌘/Ctrl+click bands to add measures to the selection.
  3. Shift+click a second band to extend from the last anchor.
Result
Selected measures power meter, key changes, and measure-range copy/paste.

Slurs and tuplets

Procedure
  • Click a drawn slur curve to select it for deletion.
  • Select a tuplet bracket, then use Delete/Backspace to replace the figure with rests.
