Lyrics hang off individual notes; open the popover from the toolbar or the keyboard.

Edit lyrics

Procedure
  1. Select a note (or an existing lyric token).
  2. Toolbar Lyrics, or Shift + L.
  3. Type or adjust the text, then save from the popover.
Result
The matching lyric syllable updates in the solfa source for that note.
