Clipboard & repeat

Short, practical help designed for lookup: follow the procedure, then compare the result in your score.

The internal engraving clipboard understands single-staff phrases and multi-staff selections anchored in time.

Copy and paste

Procedure
  1. Select notes and/or rests (including cross-part ranges).
  2. ⌘/Ctrl+C.
  3. Click the destination note or rest where the paste should begin.
  4. ⌘/Ctrl+V.
Result
Material is replaced in place across the affected measures; tuplets and differing rhythms are reconciled by the editor.

Repeat once

Procedure
  1. Select the phrase you want duplicated (notes and rests allowed).
  2. Shift + R — not ⌘/Ctrl+R (browser refresh).
Result
A copy of the material is inserted immediately after the selection in score order; selection may jump to the new copy.
