Editor basics

Short, practical help designed for lookup: follow the procedure, then compare the result in your score.

Switch between text editing and engraved score editing. Most actions on this site refer to Engrave mode unless noted.

View modes

Procedure
  1. Use the sidebar to switch between Write (solfa source) and Engrave (rendered score).
  2. In Engrave mode, the floating toolbar groups actions: Score, Edit, spacing, tempo, and more.
Result
The score is interactive in Engrave mode; keyboard shortcuts apply there.

Clear selection

Procedure
  1. Click empty space around the page to clear note, rest, and measure highlights.
  2. Press Escape to clear measure and score selections when you are not in N (rest entry) mode.
Result
Highlights disappear so measure bar shortcuts and note shortcuts do not fight each other.

Undo and redo

Procedure
  1. Undo: ⌘/Ctrl + Z
  2. Redo: ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + Z, or ⌘/Ctrl + Y
Result
Recent engrave edits on the score rewind or replay.
